I’m working on becoming a better writer through my journaling. Having never written a significant amount over a long period of time, spending the time on my journal is both interesting and beneficial.
I have always struggled to write regularly since I first learned about blogging and website design back in 2004. I feel that I have become a better writer since I started journaling just over two weeks ago. I know that I write mundane things in my journal, but it helps with the mental blocks just taking time out to write down some thoughts down on paper.
Brian Clark of Copyblogger shared an infographic about becoming a better writer, and over the last two weeks I have certainly applied these 10 steps.
The hardest steps to writing are number 5 and number 8. Trying to write when you least want to is definitely part of becoming a better writer. I feel this is the main reason I have never been in a groove to write, because I gave up when I felt like it, rather than pushing on and writing.
Time to go an do some actual writing to help learn how I can become a better writer.
