I bought myself a Kindle* last week. I’ve been thinking about purchasing an eReader for a few weeks now, and so when a sale happened at Big W last week, I decided to go ahead and purchase one.
Occasionally I find that it is cheaper to buy electronics goods from overseas, however I priced the Kindle* directly from Amazon, and found that by the time the cost of shipping was included, the cost of the Kindle was more expensive than purchasing the Kindle here in Australia as this particular Big W sale.
So I am now the proud owner of a Kindle Keyboard Wi-Fi version. I didn’t see the need to have 3G network access, as the number of times that I would actually use it would be minimal, plus my phone has Wi-Fi hotspot capability, so I could use that if it was absolutely necessary for my Kindle*.
I’m currently working through some eBooks that I previously owned, and only had on my PC, so they are now on my Kindle for easy use, as well as portability when I don’t have my laptop.
