Having worked in the services industry, and having to keep up the cleanliness of public bathrooms, I understand why some Starbucks outlets in America have decided to close their bathrooms for staff use only. The disgusting nature that some people seem to leave public bathrooms in makes me wonder who actually cleans up after them when they are in their own place.
I actually have to wonder if they are humans. I don’t know what compels these people to treat public toilets any different to how they treat their own toilets at home. I’m not sure what it is, but some people seem to behave differently in public, more like an animal in some cases I have seen.
I personally like to avoid using public bathrooms at the best of times because of the state that I have seen some have been left in, but in the need to do so, I will use them.
